Logging transmission parameter with MS3 SDcard

A forum for discussing applications and implementations of the MegaShift transmission controller code for the GPIO from B&G. This can control up to 8-speeds and 6 shift solenoids (plus a 16x9 table for controlling a PWM line pressure valve). It has manual and fully automatic modes (16x9 load x speed table), with under and over rev-limit protection, and full data logging of all inputs and outputs (among many other abilities). A TransStim to test your completed board is also available.

Logging transmission parameter with MS3 SDcard

Post by gui67 »

Is it possiblre to log parameters from Megashift:
gear, trans temperature, lever position... on the SD from MS3? I quickly looked for that last Saturday but I did not find it.

Guillaume,

It's certainly possible, since the CAN infrastructure allows this. The MShift implementation of the CAN protocol is exactly the same as the 2.905 (and higher) MS-II code from B&G. However, I have no idea about whether ms3 supports this without changes, or whether code changes to ms3 are required. You would have to ask the developers of ms3 about this (on msextra.com).
