Activating a solenoid "between shifts" Audi 097

A forum for discussing applications and implementations of the MegaShift transmission controller code for the GPIO from B&G. This can control up to 8-speeds and 6 shift solenoids (plus a 16x9 table for controlling a PWM line pressure valve). It has manual and fully automatic modes (16x9 load x speed table), with under and over rev-limit protection, and full data logging of all inputs and outputs (among many other abilities). A TransStim to test your completed board is also available.

Activating a solenoid "between shifts" Audi 097

Post by Addicted »

I'm slowly gathering the required data to implement MegaShift on my Audi 097 transmission and one of the things I've found is that it has a solenoid that is activated during each shift to 'cushion' the change. Is the MegaShift firmware able to do this?

I've now identified the solenoids that operate the various clutchs and brakes and the one PWM solenoid that controls pressure. I'm now putting together an Arduino datalogger to log all 7 solenoids, TPS, RPM and Vehicle speed. That should get me all the info I need to get started..

Addicted,

Using the spare output(s) as a 'selective clutch output' might work for you See: http://www.msgpio.com/manuals/mshift/spareport.html

Excellent news. Thanks again Lance. This is such a great piece of code.
