42LE transmssion question

A forum for discussing applications and implementations of the MegaShift transmission controller code for the GPIO from B&G. This can control up to 8-speeds and 6 shift solenoids (plus a 16x9 table for controlling a PWM line pressure valve). It has manual and fully automatic modes (16x9 load x speed table), with under and over rev-limit protection, and full data logging of all inputs and outputs (among many other abilities). A TransStim to test your completed board is also available.

42LE transmssion question

Post by seajai »

Hello all, I'm an MS newbie but an experienced mechanic. I am in the planning stages of an engine swap project using a HO 3.5l Chrysler V6 with the 42le transmission. I am looking at using MegaSquirt for the engine control and MegaShift for the trans. I found an older thread about the 41te trans, and it looks like electrically it's the same as the 42le so I am assuming the I can use the 41te setup.

Would that be a correct assumption?

I'm looking at the GPIO-K basic kit, but the only trans kit available is for the 4L60e and 4L80e. What would I need to purchase to make it work with the chyrsler trans?

Thanks
