Shift to 5th from Park

paddles also do not have any affect on the code when it's in "drive". they just stay all pressed, even when i go into the mode where paddles are all released.
would it matter if the paddles are always pressed to together on start, with the whole debounce thing, does it need an "off" state to start out with ?
drove 120-ish miles on 2.106, 3rd shift is still harsh and instant, manual shift modification works fine, using 1sec tapering TCC now for slightly smoother engagement.

Okay, I am seeing the non-responsive shift buttons on my bench. I will work on this - it shouldn't be too hard to sort out.

I have isolated the problem, but not the solution just yet. I am checking several hypothesis. It may be a day or two before I have some code that works. I will post fixed code in the 'Latest Code Updates' thread when it is ready.

there's still the issue where after shifting into drive with 4.004, it won't shift out of it going into N R and P.

I tried the 4.005 code (from the beta code page) with your MSQ (2011-04-24_15-49-08.msq) and it appeared to work as expected on my bench (though I couldn't duplicate all the gear lever positions easily). I will keep testing here, let me know if it still doesn't work for you.
