100% Line pressure

A forum for discussing applications and implementations of the MegaShift transmission controller code for the GPIO from B&G. This can control up to 8-speeds and 6 shift solenoids (plus a 16x9 table for controlling a PWM line pressure valve). It has manual and fully automatic modes (16x9 load x speed table), with under and over rev-limit protection, and full data logging of all inputs and outputs (among many other abilities). A TransStim to test your completed board is also available.

100% Line pressure

Post by 1991blazer »

Ok now that I have everything else working great, there is just one last problem. The system at times will stick at 100% line pressure in any forward gear, then at times it is perfect. Makes for interesting shifts into 2nd behind this diesel. When I pull up the table while driving the dot that shows the current bin is working as it should but the gauge on the TS shows 100%. Attached is a log and MSQ with it stuck in 100%.

1991blazer,

I will have a look shortly. Off the top of my head, one thing that can do this is having the jake brake input activated. But it could be something else and I will look at your MSQ and log.

1991blazer,

There was a problem in the Jake brake (engine compression brake) code in setting the Jake brake status variable, and this might have been the cause of your issue (or maybe not). If you could give the attached 4.141e test code a try, it would help sort things out. The attached INI has added a bit for the Jake brake status, so that will show its status in a datalog.

If this code doesn't help, a fresh datalog should point to the issue. If this code does fix the problem, it will become a part of all future releases, of course.
