Hard shifting after Full Throttle

A forum for discussing applications and implementations of the MegaShift transmission controller code for the GPIO from B&G. This can control up to 8-speeds and 6 shift solenoids (plus a 16x9 table for controlling a PWM line pressure valve). It has manual and fully automatic modes (16x9 load x speed table), with under and over rev-limit protection, and full data logging of all inputs and outputs (among many other abilities). A TransStim to test your completed board is also available.

Hard shifting after Full Throttle

Post by shaodome »

Sorry for all the posts, but I think it's better to keep individual issues separte for easy searching later by future users...If the admins feel it is best to combine my threads please do so.

So I'm driving the car around more and more working on the shift table and other things and I notice that every time the car downshifts for WOT when I let off the gas it immediately shifts hard into the next gear on the table, then slowing down immediately after it downshifts further as I slow down pretty hard and in rapid succession. Attached is my current MSQ. Can the powers at be take a look at it and let me know what you think?

shaodome,

Yes, that's how it is supposed to be. It's what you would want if you were driving the car on a road course.

You can change the way it behaves by altering the load smoothing factor:http://www.msgpio.com/manuals/mshift/V41tune.html#gs
