Manual mode disabled?

A forum for discussing applications and implementations of the MegaShift transmission controller code for the GPIO from B&G. This can control up to 8-speeds and 6 shift solenoids (plus a 16x9 table for controlling a PWM line pressure valve). It has manual and fully automatic modes (16x9 load x speed table), with under and over rev-limit protection, and full data logging of all inputs and outputs (among many other abilities). A TransStim to test your completed board is also available.

Manual mode disabled?

Post by 383gmc4x4 »

Hello
I am running a 4L80e with megashift CAN connected to MSII. After some tuning of the trans I am no longer able to activate manual mode. I have looked through all my settings, and cannot find anything obvious causing this. When either button is pressed, the leds flash once signaling manual mode, but immediately returns to auto mode. I am getting indicators at the bottom of the tunerstudio screen, so it is getting a good signal. Current firmware 4.135, same problem with 4.139. The tune is attached.
Thanks -Matt

Matt,

I don't see anything obvious in your MSQ that would cause this issue. However there are all sorts of things that could potentially be happening. A short datalog would really help narrow it down.

In the meantime, as a work around, you might try disabling the error checking and lever error checking: http://www.msgpio.com/manuals/mshift/V41tune.html#ge to see if that makes any difference.
