
Right... I'm wanting to put a Lexus 1uz-fe in my off roader and want to megasquirt the motor, but standard the stock ecu controls the gearbox too. Basically can / will megashift run the gearbox ok? Has it been done before? I've done a fair bit of googling and not really found a definitive answer! From what I've read it seems the box has 2 solenoids for gear changes, one for TC lockup and a 4th which lowers line pressure during shifts. I think it's this 4th solenoid that has caused people problems with other standalone tcu's but I see mshift has the option of extra outputs which can only be active during shifts, but I'm not sure if the 4th solenoid would be just on for the duration of the shift or if is pwm depending on various parameters? Ideal solution would be to scope the solenoids on the stock vehicle and see how it behaves but my engine and box are not in a vehicle :/
