Audi 097 4 speed Automatic and MegaShift

A forum for discussing applications and implementations of the MegaShift transmission controller code for the GPIO from B&G. This can control up to 8-speeds and 6 shift solenoids (plus a 16x9 table for controlling a PWM line pressure valve). It has manual and fully automatic modes (16x9 load x speed table), with under and over rev-limit protection, and full data logging of all inputs and outputs (among many other abilities). A TransStim to test your completed board is also available.

Audi 097 4 speed Automatic and MegaShift

Post by KamikazeTuner »

I have a MS2 v3.57 w/ software (Monitor_v2.905.abs)
and I built my GPIO/MegaShift w/ software (Monitor_2202.abs)
It is talking to my Laptop and TunerStudio MS is also able to talk to the module.
Now I am at the point where I need help!
I am using MegaShift to run a 1997 Audi 097 4 Speed Automatic Tranny.
I may have jumped the gun when I built the GPIO, because I made it with the
4L60E assembly instructions here--- http://www.msgpio.com/manuals/mshift/assembly.html
I have the wiring schematic (see attached file AUDI TRANS.pdf) and I also have the 097 Service Repair
Manual.
My Question is, How do I set up the MegaShift to actuate the 7 Solenoids? Looks like the 4L60E only runs 3 Solenoids.
Regards

KT,

You can use the spare ports (and SWB and SWC if not using a digital shift lever input) as shift solenoids: http://www.msgpio.com/manuals/mshift/spareport.html All of these require suitable hardware, of course.
