MS3X + MShift connection issues

I've read through countless articles at this point trying to remedy this situation..

MS3X starts the car, connects, no issues there what so ever.

I've connected the CAN lines for the MShift to the MS3X unit, and ran (temporary) wiring straight to battery both 12v and the grounds.

With the MShift powered up (I'm assuming), I'm trying to connect the MS to the MShift unit through the CAN connections, it just displays "write failed, giving up" each time I change something..

I have the Project properties setting the MS unit up as CAN ID 0, and the MShift as CAN ID 1, forcing 1.1x firmware, newest MS firmware is installed, as well as the newest Tunerstudio update as well..

Not sure If I'm missing something, or just having a dumb issue..

Car is a 1994 Toyota Supra with the A34x transmission

We are a few running GPIO and MS3 over CAN here but Im not really sure what you are trying to do.

Is your GPIO ok otherwise, you can connect using TS and the serial port?

I would recomend running the GPIO alone first so that you are sure that everything is working properly before adding the CAN communication to the MS3.

What code are you using in the GPIO and what TS version are you running?

Post your .msq for better help with your settings.

Hi,
I use MS3 + MS3X anf Mshift.
here is a screenshoft of the settings for CAn in the MS3 project propoerties:

I use Firmware default for the serial protocol without any problem since the beginning.
As Tobmag said: beginn by making sure the MS3 and Mshift function properly separately, making all the configuration and then connecting the Can wires.
In TS, do you have both devices displaying in your project?
