Need Help With Shift Selector INputs

So the Toyota IS300 has separate wires for EACH shifter selection that all go high (12v). For the standard 4 inputs on the Megashift I built simple voltage dividers to bring it down to something more PCB friendly, but the wiring of it has me a bit confused. The toyota ECU has the following shift selector options:

P
R
N
D
2
L

All of which have their OWN wire that goes high when in gear. The others remain low. They also are responsible for running the gear position indicator on the dash. I'm not exactly sure how to configure this?

Right now I have it wired with only 3 inputs (all I built so far).

P = all low

R = 3 High, rest low

N = not configured

D = 1 high, rest low

2 = 2 high, rest low

L = not configured

I've made sure that none of them are the same.

Also, when I put the car in DRIVE, what input pattern am I looking for?

shaodome,

You only absolutely need PNR. You can shift to the lower forward gears whenever in drive by using the shift buttons (this is the way the code expects you to shift, using the lever can cause all sort of niggling problems, like indeterminate shift lever states).
