2 Q for 4l80e

Hi Guys.

I'm thinking of using the MSgpio for controlling my 4l80e in my Jaguar but have 2 qustions.

Is it possible to use another load rather then map signal, best would be like ITB mode for me.
What I can see on other aftermarket TECU they all use TPS signal.

Will there be any possibility for a 2nd map rathet then chaning between 2/4 wheel drive?

Tobmag,

The default code 2.111 currently lets you select the load parameter:

- In CAN mode (w/ MS-II, etc.) you can choose between MAP and TPS. More here: http://www.msgpio.com/manuals/mshift/V2tune.html#oa

- In standalone mode (non-CAN) you can use any 0 to 5V signal you like for load. See: http://www.msgpio.com/manuals/mshift/V2tune.html#gl

A second shift table is a possibility. There is already a 2/4WD switch in the code for the changing the speedometer, and if enough people need the second shift table, I will consider adding it.

Tobmag,

Adding the second table turned out to be trivial, so I just did it while waiting for something decent to come on TV. The second table is triggered by the 2WD/4WD switch (http://www.msgpio.com/manuals/mshift/V4tune.html#gi).

This lets users have a speedo correction factor (if needed, otherwise set it to 1.000) and an independent 12x12 shift table (with its own speed and load bins) at the push of a button.

I haven't tested this yet, but will do so over the next few days and release the code as a beta (http://www.msgpio.com/manuals/mshift/V4code.html).

Lance.

Hi Lance.

Thanks for your quick reply,

Ok so I can shoose MAP or TPS, then I'm fine

Will look forward to see how the map switching works.

Anyway, I'm still in the early stages of the project so nothing will spin in the next 12 months.
