Megasquirt 3 with a Megashift gpio board

A forum for discussing applications and implementations of the MegaShift transmission controller code for the GPIO from B&G. This can control up to 8-speeds and 6 shift solenoids (plus a 16x9 table for controlling a PWM line pressure valve). It has manual and fully automatic modes (16x9 load x speed table), with under and over rev-limit protection, and full data logging of all inputs and outputs (among many other abilities). A TransStim to test your completed board is also available.

Megasquirt 3 with a Megashift gpio board

Post by rdmotors »

I have tried to search for this but.....

The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: setup 4l60e.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.

I need to know how to setup a MS3 box to communicate with a Megashift GPIO board. I have tried to follow the manuals and all but i get error that make no sense....Using the s19 file and the ini file i am told to use online i get
Can device Firmware signature mismatch

Current conf serial signature MShift 5.201
Controller req serial signature MS3 format 0524.05
Cotroller reportedfirmware signature MS3 1.4.1 release

Are you trying to connect to the MegaShift directly, or connect to it as an added CAN device?

I am trying to connect to the Megashift directly, but I also get the same error when trying to connect to the Megasquirt 3.

Which one of these do I use?
I try to use the v5 code and all the tables are not setup for the trans.
Like I get a shift table that has some set to 255?

I had a similar issue with my setup and found it to be a problem with the project in Tunerstudio..
Copy off or delete your exsisting projects that are in the /documents/Tunerstudio Projects/ folder and create a new project.. This fixed my issue..

Good luck
