Re: CAN communication problem

You CAN (pardon the pun) connect to your megashift via the MS2, but I found some time ago that its not really good practice for exatly the reasons you state above. Now I always connect directly to the megashift with a seperate megashift project to do any tuning/flashing of software and now have zero...

Re: Which 'load' is used in the PC calculations?

Cheers Lance,

Incidently, looking at the attached log, Sp3% drops to zero during Ureq and Dreq.. is this right? thats effectively increasing line pressure to 100% during shifts..

Re: Which 'load' is used in the PC calculations?

Thanks Lance, Who said I was I was running 5.100? ;) I was still on 5.099.. Ive now loaded up everything you posted above and suprise suprise it works! Bad news for me though, the slip hasnt improved :( even at 80% it slips. It didnt slip a couple of months ago so I can only assume something has gon...

Re: Which 'load' is used in the PC calculations?

OK, tested it on the road with SP3 set as PWM.. didn't seem to work. Looking at the log it appears that SP3 continued as Line Pressure Table.. Edit: or maybe it is reading the PWM table, but its not getting x and y variables and therefore operating at zero rawMAP and zero speedo. I can see in the lo...

Re: Which 'load' is used in the PC calculations?

OK thanks Lance! the custom.ini causes an error when I open the sp3 table..

Can not subscribe to OutputChannel Speed
It is not defined in ECU Configuration Shift.

But it appears to open OK, doesnt seem to matter what name i put in the ini, still gets the error.

Re: Which 'load' is used in the PC calculations?

Does this table look right to you Lance? its the default PC table with the values reversed i.e 92% becomes 8%

Image

I notice the variables names arent displaying correctly, is that bug or deliberate?

Re: Which 'load' is used in the PC calculations?

Hi Lance, That appears perfect actually, the functions that are lost by switching to PWM mode for SP3 are functions that I don't use anyway! I'll start by 'copying' the existing PC table (inverted of course! 75% will become 25% etc etc) and tune from there I'll feed back with my results. Thanks Martin

Re: Which 'load' is used in the PC calculations?

The problem with modifying the table like you suggest means that the minimum pressure is 75%, which is too high for lower gears based on my datalog of the OEM installation where for instance average pressure in third is only 65% I need to sleep on it, but I cannot help but think that PC should incre...

Re: Which 'load' is used in the PC calculations?

hmmmm this is going to take some thought then.. As I have lowered the TPS/load ratio down from 90% to 25% the shift has improved but slip has increased to the point of undrivability, this is because load is only in the region of 20-30 'KPA' meaning my line pressures are averaging 60% in fourth gear ...
