Re: VSS help please

Addicted. I have had the ame issue in my car that seems to generate a lot of electronic noise by it self....I also had the speedo reading up to 50kph while standing still. I did try an Schmitt trigger but it was not reliable enough so ended up with another solution, you will find it on page 4 in the...

Re: microTCU

I'm currently setting up a microSquirt to work with a Jaguar V12 mated to a GM 4L80E
A bit off topic but nice to see more peolpe working on the Jaguar V12 in combination with 4L80E.
I have the same combo in my -78 XJS MSIIIX and GPIO, (not MicroSquirt)

Re: VSS help please

Seems like the VSS is the main issue for most users.

I ended up with this fix for my 4L80E tranny , this replaces the onboard VR circuit

Re: Unexpected down shift

Lance. Thanks for that, now its clear and I will reduce the lag factor on Load. The huge drop in Speed as we see around 1504sec I have never seen before either and I assume Speed is a claculation and not an actual value? I guess you rember the old issue we had where the speed could start jump around...

Unexpected down shift

Made some WOT pulls on 3rd gear and when I let go of the throttle it shifts up to 4rth as expected but then it shifts straight back to 3rd and then back to 4rth...

Not so nice doing 150kph....

Attached msq , log file too large.

Re: Target gear miss

Thanks gui67, Ill give it a try next weekend. Do you use MSIII to control any electrical cooling fan? I have my wired up that way using NOS1 output, it behaves very strange when I use 16bit. If fan is running and I put it in anything but P or N it will cut the fan....... Very soon I'll have the car ...
