Re: Target gear miss

Lance. Thanks for promt reply, well with data size I can only choose 8bit or 16bit from the dropdown table, Explanations says "How the data is stored on the expansion board. See documentation" 12 is probably correct for Gear# since the fan by some reason is going on/off depending of where ...

This is screen dump from MSIII under CAN-bus / Test modes.

Anyone any idea what VSS1 offset, Data Size and Gear# offset should be?

Target gear miss

Lance. Long time no seen  Just loaded the 4.145 code and had a run (first in a long time) I can see some strange behaviour in revese according to the log. The car it self is behaving as it should though. While in reverse cgear shows -1 but tgear shows 1 and just "blipping" down to...

Re: Reed switch for VSS

Addicted.

You dont need to do anything, the VR circuit will work on a DC square wave signal as well 5 or 12volt.

Re: Terrible VSS Noise 4L80e

Shaodome. We are many had has suffered from this issue and it seem worse for us using an 4L80E. There are a number of threads and some different solutions to this, but before starting to modufy your GPIO do check all ground points and if you have an oscilloscope do check how clean the + feeding the ...

Lance.

I assume this will be implemented in the V5 code as well?

Re: non-CANbus will not come out of bottom of shift table

If I am stopped and then release the brake the truck will move forward just a couple of inches and then the ECM goes nuts. It will shift all the way to 4th when I am just doing 2 or 3 mph then back down to 1st and then it shifts great from there. What is causing this is an immediate spike to 100 mp...

Re: non-CANbus will not come out of bottom of shift table

Everything looks stable as far as VSS Not really when I look at your log, you have the same noice that I had as in my GPIO built for 4L80E. This can make the code "crash" and lock up in first gear until you re-boot the ECU. Below you see what I mean about noice in the VSS signal. First is...

Its now always reads as its pressed.
Everythings seems to be working in auto mode anyway.

Re: Spare port

I have also re-built the VB2 circuit removing the diod and installed a 1k ohm resistor between the banded end and +12v. This will trigger the tacho nicly rather then with the original SP2 build, not working with a floating signal. The code is working as it should and I can set the pointer spot on wh...
