Re: Speedo out to drive DC motor

The speedometer output is frequency based, but what you need here is a duty cycle based signal.

Re: feature request for shift retard

I believe he's asking for the ability to trigger a relay control or on/off output when the shift retard is active.

Re: Thermocouple wiring to GPIO board?

It's not pure silver - actually, there's only a small percentage of silver in silver solder. This one, for example:

Re: alternative to timing retard during shift

This almost seems like an anti-lag in reverse... Some possible ideas that come to mind are reducing torque by opening the wastegate further, opening a blowoff valve to dump boost, or grab a BMW ASC valve (basically a drive by wire throttle that is normally open, with the ECU closing it - the unit is...

TransStim PCBs now in stock

We've gotten in a shipment of TransStim boards recently, and they're up on our website now:

Re: switch for manual mode shifting

JB, The cars I have worked on (mostly race cars) have two 'pull' paddles. Usually this is upshift on the right, and downshift on the left (matching the gas and brake pedal arrangement); though some drivers prefer to have the configuration reversed. Personally I have not seen a 'push' paddle (that d...

Re: AA80E 8-speed

I would prefer not to use (3) since the factory shifter uses digital inputs instead of analog, so it would be better to keep compatibility with the factory shifter. I would put in a user-selectable option to either use (1) or (2).

Re: GPIO ordering information

FYI, we have now released the EGT packages as well. Each EGT package builds one EGT input circuit.

GPIO ordering information

We now have GPIO kits on the website! However, because of the variety of uses for the GPIO, we have elected not to make a single, one size fits all, everything required GPIO kit, as you'd probably end up paying - often a lot - for parts you don't use. So, we sell what we call a base kit. This includ...
