Anyone in So Cal able to assist with tuning?

... eyes on the project. Is there anyone in the So Cal area who'd be willing to assist? I'm willing to pay shop rates at this point. Vehicle is a 2000 Jeep Wrangler with a VW 1.9 TDI mated to a 4L65e. There's a MSGPIO/MegaShift controller built per the B&G build guide. It runs great and will shift ...

Need some help with Load & tach in a diesel

I'm having trouble with setting up the load and tach. The application is a VW 1.9L TDI, 4L65e adapted to a NP241OR transfer case in a Jeep. The rear end is up on jackstands and the front driveshaft is out while I figure this out. I can't get it over 20 mph like this, and I think it has to ...

4L65e swA/swB/swC pressure control switch not responding

... looks like my pressure control switch is bad, but I want to ask before I tear into the transmission to replace it. I have my 4L65e installed in my jeep behind a VW 1.9L TDI. The trans was rebuilt at a shop about 3 years ago, when I started the project, and hasn't been driven since the rebuild. ...

GPI4 Brake sense circuit - voltage or ground?

... tunerstudio doesn't respond. If GPI4 is a voltage divider circuit, how does it sense the brake switch being grounded? For reference, this is in a Jeep TJ, brake switch has 3 poles, two for the ECU and one for stop lights. My plan was to use one of the ECU poles which connect to ground as the brake ...

Re: microTCU

Hello Lance,
Do you know when the microTCU will be available for sale? I am looking for a TCU to install on a Jeep AW4 in a AMC Pacer. (should I wait for the microTCU or buy a MSGPIO).

Will this work: 4L65e, MShift on GPIO, CAN to Arduino?

... just learning microcontrollers, so if it looks like I barely know what I'm doing, you're spot on. Here's the application: A VW diesel in a 2000 Jeep Wrangler, with a custom built 4L65e. The Jeep ECM has been removed and replaced with the VW unit. The Arduino is talking to a gauge driver chip ...

Re: Hysterisis issue on TPS load gear table

... but it logs 245% while putting back into forward gear without real problem I can remember, maybe a heavy clunk (there are many on a leaf sprung Jeep), it does since a while maybe since the reverse pressure fix, I just noticed it. MSQ is the same as before

Re: Hysterisis issue on TPS load gear table

Hi Lance, it took me some time to reprogram my TCU backward and to go out get some datalogs and do testing since I had other parts of the Jeep to fix. So I reverted to TPS gear table and MAP PC control table, this is what works best with my setup, TPS PC table is not adjusting the line pressure ...

CAN TPS values erratic or scaled down

... km/h would cause downshift and 90,5 would cause upshift in some situations even if the speed hysteresis was set to 10 km/h. Now I can't drive the Jeep to test it with the new firmware since the CAN TPS once in the trans controller is unusable, I have made a datalog so you can compare engine TPS ...
