I am building a Lcd gauge getting information from the MS3 ECU via can us with an arduino teensy, like what is done in this topic:

I am getting the information that are broadcast from MS3, including the speed and current gear ...

I also had the same problem once.
It was the transistor that was burnt. I replaced it and then it was OK. (I don't know why)
But I did not have the problem in first gear: the TCC could not apply, only on 2nd.

The tests before were done with the wheels of the ground?
If yes, it was maybe friction between the discs or the band that made the wheel turn like in second gear: not enough torque to keep the wheel from turning.
If you try again with the wheels up, I think you will see the same behaviour as before.

The controller seems to select the right outputs for the 1-2 shifts. but the transmission does not follow.
I would try to manually ground the output 1 going to solenoid A to check if it changes something. or check with a multimeter if the output is grounded at this moment.

it is the msq, not the log.
for your load problem, check what the MAP vs TPS for load (MAP%) in the Throttle and Load Factors menu.
I put it on 100% MAP now, but before I did not understand why I could see a small load with 200kPa MAP... it was blended with TPS.

I would try do not force RPM check during the tests.
And also, try to make the sensors ISS and OSS work, or at least VSS: ISS is not needed if you have the RPM from CANbus.

No, I nearly always with CAN: for datalogging of very small parameter changes.
When I make a code update, I connect directly to the MSGPIO serial port. I connect with Tunerstudio, get the last msq and save it.
Then I close tunerstudio, I update the code.
