Re: Chrysler 45RE

one solenoid for line pressure control just like the late model 41TE (phased in 2007-08), line pressure sensor REALLY? That has definitely peaked my curiosity.. Looks like I may be on the lookout for an '08+ PT Cruiser transmission then.. Seems like having control of the line pressure would be very...

Re: Chrysler 45RE

Seven solenoids? Wow. The 41te only has 4.. One of them serves double duty as TCC control (once into 2nd gear, a shuttle valve moves over and allows it to be used for TCC operation). So much for these things all being exactly the same. Do you have a chart of which solenoids are energized for each ge...

Also, if it's nothing like the 41te, check out the 47re thread.

Re: Chrysler 45RE

Is it anything like the 41te? Got any tech documents on it? Check out the "Control Methodology" part of my wiki, and compare it to yours. In theory, the 45re would be the same trans, just level 5 torque handling instead of level 1, and RWD rather than traverse (FWD).. Just like the 727 is ...

Re: Chrysler 41te Trans Control

I was daydreaming about this all day at work today.. I've got an aftermarket steering wheel with horn buttons under each thumb, those will be used for my paddle shifters, along with the floppy shifter I have, I'll be able to do either or, depending on my mood. This steering wheel has a normal horn b...

Re: Chrysler 41te Trans Control

Fired up the trans for the first time yesterday, without the GPIO connected to it. Confirmed that forward and backwards work. I'm getting the pinout for the trans from a friend later today (so I'll update my 41te WIKI with that info). So it won't be long now.. :)

Re: Chrysler 41te Trans Control

I mean I can wire the GPIO to the transmission, on the floor, and run the shift lever through the gears, to see it in action.. I can also spin the input shaft and monitor the turbine speed sensor.. Check the temp sensor(s)... etc..

Re: Chrysler 41te Trans Control

Any more thoughts on this "multiplexing the shifter inputs(s) idea? Assuming there even are enough inputs for the 41te shifter, it would be nice to save them for other things like this. . . . More thoughts? It's a done deal, it WILL be done like this, it WILL work. At least on my car.. If some...

Re: Chrysler 41te Trans Control

Something I wanted to contribute to this thread.. The range selector.. It's simply 4 on-off switches.. It was mentioned that that's kind of a waste of inputs on the GPIO.. Why not multiplex them all into one wire? Put a different resistor value on the output of each switch.. Little bit of math in t...
