Re: 4th Gear Slip under load

Lance, Okay, all problems fixed, then transmission broke I must have been very tired when I re-soldered the TIP120s because the new ones were not on right lol. I re-soldered everything and all clutch inputs worked, and transmission shifted perfectly. So I turned up the boost... And the 01M disagreed...

Re: 4th Gear Slip under load

Okay finals are over and I can get back to work on this, Lance, the code you posted works perfect, and my 2nd spare port (the shift solenoid for 4th gear) is actually working now! The clutch smoothness (Spare port 1) is still not functioning at all, but TunerStudio claims that it is working fine. My...

Re: 4th Gear Slip under load

Update: Loaded up the code you gave me, the PC looks good, but now the spare port 1 (clutch) is acting real strange... it blips on for a split second every time I shift, but does not stay applied for the entirety of the shift. Very odd.. I am uploading my tune and the data log now. And it took me 4 ...

Re: 4th Gear Slip under load

Lance,

Awesome I will go out to the cabby and try this code now. If the Spare ports still don't work I'll have to wait until tomorrow to do the scope test.

Re: 4th Gear Slip under load

Okay thanks Lance I will try the new code. The last time I attempted this code the pressure control wouldn't reflect the instantaneous value on the table due to some type of smoothing input. The spare inputs also did not work with V5, but this was 2 weeks ago and I will try the new code posted. And ...

Re: 4th Gear Slip under load

Ok, replaced TIP 120s and same exact problem persists.. Dont know what to do now so I made a clutch button to ground the pressure drop solenoid and a 4th gear switch to ground the 4th solenoid :( The TCM says it is properly adjusting the ground signals but the outputs stay always grounded.. Any idea...

Re: 4th Gear Slip under load

Oh and one more thing, What all can get damaged when a PWM circuit gets run without a flyback... because I know for a fact that I ran those solenoids without a flyback for about a week until I realized that the outputs were getting pulsed. Could it be damaged hardware from those events? Edit: at thi...

Re: 4th Gear Slip under load

Hey Lance, I tried changing the PWM1% (selective clutch) to 0% across the board like you said, all that did was make nothing work.. it seems as if it uses that table to decide what spike to go to when shifting gears. So today I went ahead and tried a few things. I attached the solenoid ground wires ...
