Re: Selective clutch for when engaging TCC

Hello Lance, I still cannot use the 5.101 code due to the error mentioned previously (the turbobaud error) and I'm not sure how to move forward.. I've tried downloading the ini again but the error persists. Direct connection between TS and MSGPIO is fine. Its only when I try to update the ini for CA...

Re: Selective clutch for when engaging TCC

Just a quick note Lance, I'm back from Austria! 2400 miles with a totally reliable megashift!

I'll post up a success story when I get a spare 15 minutes, but I thought I'd let you know :Image

Re: Selective clutch for when engaging TCC

Hi Lance,

It works fine when connected directly to the GPIO, the error came when I tried to set it as the ini for CAN..

I'll try some renaming

Martin

EDIT:

simply copying the ini into the projectcfg and renaming it to CAN1.ini worked perfectly :D

right then, lets drive to Austria

Re: Selective clutch for when engaging TCC

Martin, but also N94 is activated whenever the TCC is initially engaged (but only in 3rd gear). These are the words I was looking for when I was trying to explain the function ;) So the fact that you've done a better job of putting it into words than me would suggest you understand what I'm after!

Re: Selective clutch for when engaging TCC

Lance, Attached is a much edited example of the datalogs I took from the factory TCU. Open it with Excel NOT Megalogviewer! Hopefully its pretty self explanatory, you can see how SP1 is activated for all downshifts, but also when TCC is engaged in third gear. For the shift from 3 to 4 I can already ...

Re: Selective clutch for when engaging TCC

Hi Lance, if I get chance later I'll upload some data (going to be a bit busy removing the transmission! :D) I have two selective clutches, 1 of which is activated on all downshifts AND when TCC is engaged. The OEM application simply treats the act of engaging TCC to be the same as a downshift. I su...

Re: Selective clutch for when engaging TCC

Hello Lance,

Have you had the opertunity to look at this? :)

It appears my slipping transmission is because I've blown the seals on the TCC valve, probably caused by engaging TCC at high line pressure..

Re: Which 'load' is used in the PC calculations?

Morning Lance, Well the 5.100i was tested and found to be OK last night. Rather than Sp3% dropping to zero on shift it appears to 'follow table' (despite me not having that option selected!) :) but maybe thats what you are referring to with 5.100ii I've checked out my solenoids/wiring and they're al...
