Re: Chrysler 47RE info

I have this running/driving now, though I don't have the GPIO part completely implemented yet. I'm currently running the TCC, OD and GOV solenoids off the MS3X just to confirm it would work. I just received the rest of the parts to complete megashift today so hopefully I will have it working as it s...

Substitute for 1N4751ADICT-ND

I managed to break one of the diodes, of course they don't carry them at the local radio shack. Is there another diode that would work in its place? If not I can make a trip to the electronics store, but it is a ways away from where I live....

Sources for finding trans component specs and info

Here are a couple of sites that I used to find specs on shift solenoids, temp sensors, linear solenoids, hards parts etc. that may be useful to other members setting up megashift. http://www.rostra.com/transmissions.htm - download the catalog, has specs on many components and picture images as well ...

Issue with automated BOM Digi Key order

I used the link in http://www.megamanual.com/mshftbom.htm to place my order and for some reason the R5 resistors did not show up on the order. Not sure if it is an issue with the automated order or something on DigiKey's end (I did have problems getting my order to complete). The 1.0K resistors (1.0...

Re: Best Place to Buy the Case?

Yes, that was with blank endplates. I may run the harness connectors for the MS and GPIO from opposite ends so I did not want the cut endplate anyway.

Re: Best Place to Buy the Case?

The only place I seem to be able to find the EAS-400 (or EAF-400, not sure what flanged ends really means) so far, is straight from LMB Heeger. Is that the best option? Thanks, Thad I ended up getting the case from Heeger, though their website ordering system doesn't work too well. If you do order ...

Re: Chrysler 47RE info

Thanks tjabo, I'm hoping that I can get the engine and trans stuff in the ballpark before the car comes back and do final tuning in the car.

Re: Chrysler 47RE info

Lance, I would tune manually using the 12x12 table. This application still uses a throttle pressure (cable driven) input to increase the MPH of the 1-2 and 2-3 shift on top of the governor pressure. At this point I'm not interested in tying the governor pressure solenoid "command" to the o...

Re: Chrysler 47RE info

Lance, I read through the 41TE thread, that is an all electronically controlled trans. Mine is pretty much a hydraulic 3 speed 727 (1-2 and 2-3 controlled by the springs/valves in the valve body only) with an overdrive hung on the back. The governor has control over where the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts occu...
